Four women of Indian-origin are among 54 finalists of the Miss England 2009 contest to be held over two days from 19 July. Public voting for the contestants has begun and latest trends indicate that the top five who got maximum votes include two of the four Indian-origin contestants. The Indian-origin contestants are London-based Snehali Naik, who was the winner of Miss India UK 2006, Hertfordshire-based chartered accountant Reema Mehta, Woldingham-based Uma Dhir and Swindon-based Elishma Fernandes. Of the four, Reema Mehta and Uma Dhir figure in the top five contestants who have so far received maximum votes. Public voting for the contestants will end at 6:00 pm on 20 July, and the results will be declared soon after. Related Articles:
