Three illegal workers found in fast food outlets in Hertfordshire have been deported. The men, two 24-year-olds from India and a 22-year-old from Pakistan, had all overstayed their visas and were working in McDonald's restaurants. The UK Border Agency (UKBA) arrested the Indian workers in Howard's Gate, Welwyn Garden City and the 22-year-old at Monkwood Retail Park, Stevenage. The men left the country on Saturday, a UKBA spokesman said. A 41-year-old Nigerian woman was arrested at the Town Square in Stevenage branch and charged with possessing a false document. She was later bailed. The shops' franchisee, Mike Ghazarian, contacted UKBA worried that the workers had used false documents to gain employment. Chief immigration officer Jon Greenbank said: "Mike Ghazarian did just what a responsible employer should do. Concerned that members of his staff had used counterfeit documents to gain employment he came straight to us and as a result four people who had no permission to be in the UK have been brought to book." Ghazarian and McDonald's will not face a fine for the illegal workers. - Agencies Related Articles:
