Contemporary British Asians are moving away from the traditions of arranged marriage and are looking at new ways of finding a life partner, exploring new methods to find their soulmate.

It used to be so simple. Boy meets girl over a plate of samosas in Auntie Bimla's living room. So why, in the age of Shaadi.com, tantric speed dating, cosmic ordering, pokes and twitters is the path to true love bumpier than ever?

Is this a British Asian parent's worst nightmare - the arranged marriage failing?!

Now you can join a band of lonely hearts on their interweaving journeys to find love and companionship, encountering surprises, wrong turns and occasional heartbreak along the way. Who knows, you may even experience a 'brief encounter' of your own!

Rifco Arts presents Where's My Desi Soulmate, a show which explores the journey of many characters and the different issues they go through to find the one they love! A show full of comedy, and you may even play a part in choosing the fate of a character.

A singles event accompanies the show at each venue.

Where's My Desi Soulmate? brings together some of the finest talent in British Asian theatre industry - director Pravesh Kumar (writer and director of The Deranged Marriage and Theres Something About Simmy) and writers Sonia Likhari (Soho Theatre, Tamasha, Kali Theatre Company) and Harvey Virdi ('Nina Mandal' in Coronation Street, Brick Lane, Bride and Prejudice).
