After finding it difficult to dispose off his palatial 11-bedroom 'Summer Palace' in London, steel tycoon Lakshmi Mittal now plans to rent it out. The villa, located in Hampstead, North London, has 11 bedrooms, 12 bathrooms and six reception rooms, a glass lift to a swimming pool, jacuzzi and a steam room. But the property has failed to attract an offer close to the £40 million it was worth before the slump in the property market. According to an estate agent, it could yield £10,000 a week in rent. Mittal bought the house, set in an acre of land, in 1996 for £6.75 million. Quoting a source, the Mail Online said: "Mittal has put a lot into the property and doesn't want a cheap sale. He's in no hurry to sell." In 2004, Mittal and his family relocated to Kinsinghton Palace, west London, buying Formula 1 tycoon Bernie Ecclestone's 15-bedroom house for a record £57 million. - Agencies Related Articles:
